Want to know more?

Every child, parent, and family are more then what we see on Sundays. Check out this video – I love it and thought I would share.

This video is such a great reminder that we never know what the back story is on the kids that enter the classroom on Sundays, the parents that drop their kids off, or even the volunteer we are working beside. When things get busy and crazy try to remember there is more then what you see – there are hurts, disappointments, illness – along with joy, love, and fulfillment…plus much more.

In these next months let’s all slow down and try to get to know those around us. Ask things like “How can I pray for you today?” instead of just “How are you?”. Go the extra mile to help a friend even when they do not ask. Take a moment to have a one on one talk with a child – see what is going on in their world. Pray for God to give you the eyes to see, the heart to feel and the hands to help those around you.

Seeing others thru God’s eyes is a whole new way of looking at the world. I challenge you to find out something new about a few people each Sunday – I strongly believe that you will find great opportunities to minister to another and be blessed yourself by their story.
